Face coverings will no longer be required at Pawfections. As of May 24, 2021, Maine is no longer requiring masks. However, wearing a mask remains recommended by the U.S. CDC for people who are not fully vaccinated or not yet able to receive the vaccine.

6/11/20-

We are excited to announce an update regarding our current mandated COVID-19 procedures. Effective immediately, customers can now enter Pawfections Pet Salon to drop off and pick up their pets. In an effort to conform with the State’s new plan, and for the safety of our staff and our customers, the following guidelines must be followed:

• Only 1 customer (same family) is allowed in our Lobby at a time!

• A mask/face covering must be worn while in the Lobby.

• Payments will continue to be made online, however we can now process payments in the Salon.

Thank you for all of your understanding as we work safely and diligently to serve you and your pet during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you in our Salon once again!

4/29/20- 

We are so excited to hear Governor Mills' announcement yesterday! As of May 1st, pet groomers will be allowed to open their doors!

As we move forward, we have taken some important steps to maintain safeguards for our professional groomers and our customers. Pawfections Pet Salon is committed to complying with the requirements of the COVID-19 Prevention Checklist provided by the Maine Department of Economic & Community Development. The Checklist specific for our industry can be found here. The following is a list of the protocols we have in place until further notice.

​Please read this carefully for full details before your next grooming appointment:​

• When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, please text us by responding to your confirmation appointment text message or call us at 207-967-8996 to let us know you have arrived to drop off your pet. Please remain in your vehicle, a Groomer will come out and retrieve your pet.

• Please do not have a leash or collar on the pet as the Groomer will provide one.

• No customers will be allowed to enter the business during this time.

• A groomer will notify you via text message when your pet is ready for pick-up. The message will include a link for online payment.

• Please do your best to make payments electronically before you arrive to get your pet.

• When you return, please respond back to our text message or call us to let us know you have arrived to pick up your pet. Please remain in your vehicle, the Groomer will bring your pet out to you.

to continue keeping your furry friends clean, happy, and healthy!

*Due to the overwhelming amount of phone messages and emails, we are behind with our responses to our wonderful dog parents.  Our groomers are working hard and taking on extra work days to accommodate our clients as best as we can. We know how important an "overdue" grooming is for your furry loved ones. Please bear with us during this process.

4/6/20 - *IMPORTANT UPDATE!  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Maine State mandated ordinances, Pawfections Pet Salon was forced to close up shop on March 25th.  Per the State's request, a letter was submitted to the State explaining why we believed Pawfection's should remain open as an essential "animal welfare" business.  The letter has been under review for reconsideration since March 30th.  We have been hopeful the State would read the strict guidelines for "social distancing", and other safeguards implemented and allow us to re-open.  At this time, after many attempts to get answers the State has not responded with a definitive decision.  The current "extended" State order remains in effect until April 30th. Pawfections will remain closed at this time until further notice.   We apologize for the burden this may cause on you and your pet, we are feeling the effects as well.  We encourage you to begin booking your reservations beginning Friday, May 1st, assuming we will be able to open at that time.  Thank you for your understanding during this difficult and unusual time.  Click HERE to schedule a grooming appointment.  If you are interested in reading a copy of the letter we sent to the State click HERE. 

 

3/25/20 - Pawfections Pet Salon will be closed due to Gov. Mills orders mandating all non-essential businesses to close their locations for 14 days. We are currently accepting online booking requests following the 14 days provided we can resume business. Click HERE to request a grooming appointment.

3/18/20 - We have our standard cleaning protocol in place. In addition we are offering a few solutions for those who are concerned about the virus.

​

1. We are offering curb side pick up. No need to get out of your car. Just text us you are here and we will come out to drop off and pick up your pets.

2. Touch-free checkout. When your pet is ready for pick-up, You will receive a link via text message to view your invoice with the option to pay ahead at no additional charge.

3. We will be sending leashes and collars home with you and using our own leashes in the salon.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know. Please stay home if you are not feeling well, your dog will appreciate the extra snuggle time. We will continue to update as things change.
